Over Bite

Overbite-

In an overbite, the upper front teeth extend out over the lower front teeth. This sometimes causes the lower front teeth to bite into the roof of the mouth.

underBite

Underbite-

An underbite occurs when the lower jaw extends out, resulting in the lower front teeth sitting in front of the upper front teeth.

Open Bite

Open Bite-

An open bite is characterized by upper and lower front teeth that do not overlap. This often causes problems with proper chewing, and it may also contribute to other unwanted habits like tongue thrusting.

Open Bite

Spacing-

Spacing between teeth can be caused by small teeth and large jaws, or can be caused by thumb or finger habits or tongue thrusting. In addition to the visual esthetics, spaced teeth can cause food to pack between them which can lead to gum and bone problems.

Cross Bite
Cross Bite

Crossbite-

In a crossbite, the upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth. This may result in misaligned jaw growth, irregular wear of the teeth and increases the chances of traumatic dental injury. Crossbites can occur in the front, back, or a combination of both.

upper front teeth Protrusion

Upper Front Teeth Protrusion-

In this type of bite, the upper teeth extend too far forward or the lower front teeth do not extend far enough forward. This can impact both the appearance and function of the teeth.

mismatch midline bite

Dental Midlines Not Matched-

This orthodontic problem is caused when the back bite does not fit and match correctly, and it may negatively impact the jaw and proper dental function.

mismatch midline bite

Ankylosed Teeth-

Ankylosis (stuck tooth) is caused by an abnormal attachment between the root of the tooth and the bone. It can happen to a baby tooth or a permanent tooth. An ankylosed baby tooth can prevent the normal eruption of the permanent tooth underneath it. In a growing jaw it appears as if the ankylosed tooth is “sinking”.

mismatch midline bite

Crowding-

Crowded teeth is a result of a discrepancy between the size of the jaws and teeth resulting in overlapping and rotation of the teeth. In addition to the visual esthetics, crowding can result in difficulties chewing and cleaning, and can cause the teeth to wear irregularly.
