Vernal and Heber City, Utah (UT) Orthodontist William D. Wright, DDS

Dr. Wright, a native of Heber City, Utah, received

his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University. He graduated with honors while achieving his D.D.S. degree as well as his specialty certificate in orthodontics from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. While at UMKC, he received several awards for his academic achievements and was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. After finishing his professional education, he returned to Utah to begin his practice of orthodontics in the Uintah Basin and Heber City.

Dr. Wright is an active member of several national professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists, Utah Dental Association, Utah Association of Orthodontists, and Uintah Basin district Dental Society. He is currently serving on the board of directors for the Utah Dental Association and the Utah Association of Orthodontists. He serves in the community on the with Vernal area Chamber of Commerce and is Chairman of the Civic Health Committee. He is a past president of the Uintah Basin District Dental Society.

Dr. Wright enjoys association with people of all ages. He is involved with youth athletics, coaching and sponsoring various teams. He is involved in church activities, and enjoys working with the youth. Dr. Wright is an accomplished Jazz Bassist, and enjoys performing. He has played with several prestigious groups throughout his college and professional school including the BYU Philharmonic Orchestra, BYU Young Ambassadors and BYU Jazz Ensemble Synthesis. He enjoys spending time with his wife Jackie and six children, being outdoors, backpacking, fly-fishing, radio control airplane modeling, gardening and riding motorcycles with his son.

The association he has with patients and their families and seeing the changes in his patients are the rewards that Dr. Wright enjoys the most. He is committed to excellence in his office and practice procedures and has spent many hours attending meetings and continuing education courses to pursue that goal.
